Robert Kasirer manages his family office, where he helped develop a national real estate investment and management company with a diversified portfolio across 12 states. His work has included oversight of investments, commercial properties, and long-term business operations. He also serves as president of his family foundation, where his
philanthropy is focused on education and Jewish causes. Through this work, he supports institutions, programs, and communities that encourage learning, identity, and continuity.
Robert founded two nonprofit organizations in 2022, one in the United States and one in Israel, to support the creation of a digital platform and app for Jewish life. The platform brings together music, learning, prayer, podcasts, videos, and interactive experiences in one accessible space. It is designed for individuals and communities, giving organizations, schools, camps, synagogues, campus groups, and creators a way to share meaningful content.
Robert Kasirer carries a family history shaped by Holocaust survival, loss, and determination. His mother was imprisoned in a concentration camp, while his father was sent to forced labor. Many relatives were killed, and that history became part of the family’s memory and purpose. His parents came from a small village in the Carpathian Mountains, and his father learned a trade early in life after losing his own father at age 13.
Robert was born in Austria after his parents were liberated, married, and waited for permission to immigrate to the United States. He and one sister were born there before the family later settled in Los Angeles, where another sister was born. After arriving, his parents worked to build Jewish community life by supporting schools, synagogues, and educational institutions, even though such resources were still limited.
Kasirer was raised with a clear sense that remembrance must be connected to action. His parents believed that the memory of the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust should be honored by helping future generations remain connected to Jewish learning, values, and identity. Their purpose strongly influenced him. As a teenager, he attended a Jewish boarding school in New York, where he studied both secular subjects and Jewish learning.
Robert Kasirer pursued higher education in New York and later completed law school before passing the state bar. He began his professional life as an attorney and helped form a law firm with associates, focusing on public finance and major financing matters nationwide. He later worked with another firm before joining his father in business. Together, they developed, owned, and operated commercial properties, with a focus on shopping centers.
Robert continued to guide and grow the family real estate company after his father passed away in 2005. Over time, his two sons and son-in-law joined the family office and its related businesses. They now lead daily operations while he serves as chairman. This transition reflects his commitment to family continuity, responsible leadership, and building institutions that can continue serving future generations through steady management and shared responsibility.
Kasirer sees his digital Jewish platform as an extension of the values he received from his parents. He believes every generation must find its own way to keep Jewish life meaningful, especially as the world changes and many younger people feel less connected to traditional institutions. Through technology, he hopes to make learning, prayer, culture, and community more accessible, helping individuals and organizations strengthen identity, belonging, and engagement.
Robert Kasirer has been married to his wife for 48 years, and they have four children and 13 grandchildren, including 7 boys and 6 girls. Family remains an important part of his life, along with his professional and philanthropic commitments. In his personal time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling around the world. Through travel, he appreciates different traditions, cultures, and landscapes while continuing to value heritage, learning, and meaningful connections.
