Peter Childers is the vice president of learning and strategic development at Couchbase, a developer of an open-source document-oriented database optimized for interactive applications. Previously, he served as the principal and manager of Claritive Systems.
Prior to joining Claritive Systems, Childers was a co-founder, co-inventor, and the chief
executive officer of Utility Scale Solar and CBE Global Holdings. From 1998 to 2007, he held executive leadership positions in major business units at Red Hat, most recently as the company’s first vice president of online strategy and operations, and prior to that as vice president of Red Hat’s global learning services division.
Childers holds a bachelor’s degree in humanities from Yale University, and a master’s degree from Duke University.
