Nicole studied at New York Law School, receiving her J.D. in 2013. She joined Tor Ekeland, P.C. as a law clerk in August 2013. While in law school, Nicole focused her course of study primarily on criminal and constitutional law where she had the opportunity to study under Professor Nadine Strossen, former president of the American Civil Liberties
Union. Nicole was also a member of New York Law School’s Criminal Defense Clinic where she represented clients in New York City Criminal Court under the supervision of a Legal Aid attorney.
As part of a joint effort with Lawyers Across Boarders to bring pro bono legal services to low income individuals, Nicole traveled to New Orleans to work with the Orleans Public Defender. Nicole was also a mentor in New York Law School’s Street Law program where she instructed New York City public school students on the First and Fourth Amendments and prepared them for a moot court competition upon completion of the class.
Education
Prior to law school, Nicole attended New York University where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Business and Management. While at NYU, Nicole also worked at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Jr. Personnel Administrator and Special Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer. At the NYC Health Department, Nicole handled agency-wide human resource, budgetary and contract issues, and created an agency-wide procurement system for all IT purchases.
Nicole is a member of the New York State Bar Association and was admitted to the New York Bar on June 11, 2014.
