Started my journey in entertainment marketing where I was involved with brand marketing and entertainment intelligence. Spent a lot of time developing business skills and got to be a part of unique partnerships all while dealing with clients. This was early on in my career when I still thought my interests were in medicine (hence my minor in Human
Biology).
Moved to the technical field where I have used my coursework to develop both front-end and back-end implementation skills. Used these skills to delve into my first entrepreneurial venture, videocrank, with a few other Stanford students. It was a marketing platform that connected businesses that needed feedback on interesting video media and the college students who they wanted feedback from. There, I managed technical development of the platform in addition to many of the business aspects of the venture.
Leveraged these experiences to become lead developer of mylinkpower - a Stanford StartX company that was trying to push the bounds of LinkedIn and what it could do to properly connect it's power users.
Now, I have the pleasure of being a co-founder of Swapbox, my brainchild and obsession. We've thrown our full weight behind this and I dropped out of the Masters program in CS (with a quarter left to go) to pursue it. Wish us luck, we're trying to do big things in local commerce!
