Mike is responsible for technical direction and execution together with Dr. Mark Parsons, the company’s Chief Technology Officer.
Mike has spent his entire 30+ year career in the utility and communications industry, including leadership roles with companies such as EnergyLine (now S&C Electric Automation Systems Division), Trayer
Engineering, Western Multiplex and others.
He has worked in Smart Grid related roles with investor owned utilities, including PG&E and others. He was also the VP of Engineering of Gridcom, a start-up developing a line sensor system in close cooperation with PG&E during the 1990s.
Michael earned a BSME, and MSME in Thermosciences, degrees from Stanford University, receiving the L.M. Dinkelspiel Award, as well as the Royal Society of the Arts Award for Achievements in Engineering. He is a licensed mechanical engineer in the State of California, M19351. He holds 10 US patents, including U.S. Patent 6,677,743, “High Voltage Powerline Sensor with a Plurality of Voltage Sensing Devices”, with Coolidge et al.
