Michael is a meticulous, results-driven and creative Company Director with over 10 years of management and operations experience within information technology and retail. He has a passion for new and future technologies, particularly surrounding the Artificial Intelligence realm as he firmly believes the future of humanity lay in the hands of
computer-driven sciences.
In 2011, Michael left his successful career with the Australian retail giant, Woolworths, to assist with the growth of the Australian-based research and development company, Semantic Software. His primary responsibility with Semantic Software was to oversee the day to day operations and financial accounting, as well as the management of growth and supporting infrastructure.
During 2012, Michael was actively involved in the procurement of a technological white paper from a well-renowned research organisation, Bloor Research, regarding our ground breaking ETL technology. This white paper would play a seminal part to the direction in which Semantic Software was to take to become Australia’s leading Artificial Intelligence company.
Since, Michael has successfully assisted in the growth of Semantic Software, from four people in total to a current four expert researchers and six senior software developers. The company has now positioned itself as Australia’s leading provider of semantic computing solutions and is starting to position themselves in the global marketplace. From 2015, he has also has played an active role in overseeing the development and release of the Semantic Computing Platform, Semantiro.
He believes that 2016 will not only be an important year for Semantic Software, but will also be a corner-stone in the emergence of computer-aided learning and the positioning of Artificial Intelligence in the global economy.
