Max founded Lumin in 2014 with the goal of improving people's ability to comment and interact on PDF files. Since then, Lumin has grown to a massive community of 65 million people who rely on it for their administrative needs. Max is a Fulbright scholar and possesses a PhD in Civil Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University.
Lumin is based in Christchurch, New Zealand, but has over 50 team members around the world. He constructed the first version of Lumin in three weeks while studying Engineering at the University of Canterbury, and he has over ten years of expertise in software development.
