Ken Wang joined American Capital in 2013. Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Wang was an Associate in the Corporate Practice Group of Latham & Watkins LLP, where his practice focused on capital markets, private equity funds, and CFTC & SEC compliance issues, and an Associate of the Structured Finance Group of Orrick, Herrington &
Sutcliff LLP.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Wang was a Portfolio Financial Analyst of the Capital Markets Department of Fannie Mae, managing the risks of mortgages, MBS & derivatives, and a Senior Financial Analyst of the Treasury Group at WGL Holdings, Inc., for seven years.
Mr. Wang received J.D./M.B.A. degrees from Georgetown University. He also holds an M.A. in International Relations from New York University, an M.A. in Simultaneous Interpretation (Chinese-English) from United Nations Training Program for Interpreters, and a B.A. in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University. Mr. Wang was once a professional interpreter and interpreted for Chinese Premiers and U.S. Secretaries of State. Mr. Wang is a U.S. Certified Public Account (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has completed all the courses required for a taxation LL.M. at Georgetown University. Mr. Wang is a member of the New York and District of Columbia Bars.
