Jorge Ferrer is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Research & Strategy at Lumicell. Jorge leads the company's research and development efforts and oversees the collaborations with the clinical institutions. During his post-doctoral with Moungi Bawendi at MIT, he developed the prototype of the Lumicell imaging system and conducted the
proof-of-concept experiments in mice and dogs.
He holds a Ph.D. from MIT in Biological Engineering, an M.S. from MIT and a B.S. from the University in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to his post-graduate studies, Jorge worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the sensors and controls industry at Texas Instruments.
