Chris is a product executive with 25 years building and leading product teams that defined new product categories at startups to F500 software companies including Lookout, Symantec, and Vontu. A holder of multiple patents, he has discovered and developed new products in consumer and enterprise mobile, web, and platform services.
Before joining
Silicon Valley Product Group, Chris was the VP of Product for Lookout and the Senior Director of Product for Vontu (later purchased by Symantec). At both companies, Chris built the product organizations from the ground up and led the effort to discover and deliver multiple category-leading products in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and consumer mobile security.
Earlier, Chris founded and ran Medicineman Product Design, an agency providing product discovery, design and implementation services for nearly 50 consumer and enterprise software companies, including Netscape, Tibco, Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, JP Morgan, and Stanford University. Medicineman provided design and discovery for multiple new product initiatives for Netscape’s client and server businesses. The company also designed and implemented nearly a dozen administrative and end-user interfaces for TIBCO’s entire middleware and portal engine product line.
Chris started his career as a software developer for Trilogy working on their core sales configurator.
Chris graduated from Stanford with a B.S. in Computer Science.
