Alex Chee is a co-founder and CEO of Termina, a startup that provides applied AI for quant diligence across VC, PE and private credit, and a co-founding partner of Tribe Capital, a $1.8B AUM venture capital firm based out of San Francisco.
Alex led product development at Tribe to augment its investment decision making. His responsibilities as CPO
included instantiating, structuring and scaling new and existing products (e.g. Firstlook) that compound Tribe’s proprietary data set and ability to execute its early-stage investment strategies.
Alex previously led the product and engineering teams at Social Capital where he explored the application of technology as a force multiplier on critical parts of the investment and company lifecycles. In addition to leading product development, Alex co-led the seed investment and scout program with Arjun Sethi.
Prior to Social Capital, Alex ran product at Joist, where he led the expansion of the residential contractor platform across North America (acquired by Evercommerce).
Before Joist, Alexander co-founded MessageMe with Arjun Sethi (acquired by Yahoo).
Alex started his career with an indefinite leave of absence from Stanford University to direct product at mobile gaming company LOLapps. He led new game and platform R&D across all teams (acquired by 6Waves/Nexon).
