Spot.Inc is an online platform that is focused on building a search and organization platform for its clients’ cloud data. Its products allow the user to search across one’s entire personal, social, and cloud context. The user has the ability to search through his or her data from services like Gmail, Google Drive, Yammer, Dropbox, Evernote,
Linkedin, Facebook, and Twitter.
The search platform brings user’s cloud data across personal and social context, stores it as semantic objects in a graph, and indexes it. Indexing technology normalizes entities across sources. It supports text search, and graph navigation, including in-files search, and identification of duplicates across different sources. Spot.Inc is a virtual file system for storing meta-data of semantic objects, such that anything in the personal cloud context of the user can be quickly found, and then used for collaboration, no matter where the physical data is actually stored.
