In 2012, Shanghai Jiaotong University created an intelligent speech technology laboratory to introduce the comprehensive technology of the human-computer spoken dialogue system back to China. He has been the chairman of the Dialogue or Speech Processing Department at international conferences such as InterSpeech on numerous occasions and has won many international reviews and contests such as the U.S. Department of Defense, the Large Scale Speech Recognition Evaluation organized by the U.S. National Bureau of Standards, the Dialogue System Challenge organized by the International Research Institute In 2014, he won the "Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Award for Science and Technology" by the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence for his progress award and was awarded "Scientific Chinese Person of the Year 2016.
