Yaniel Sargeant, a student advocate with a passion for college access and successful completion, is thrilled to join the American Honors team.
Prior to joining American Honors, Yaniel promoted college access as a social worker in the Rockwood School District. She also worked with TRIO Upward Bound, KIPP, College Bound St. Louis and other
educational organizations to promote college access and success. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Hampton University. It was here that she learned the importance of youth empowerment during a semester spent abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. Yaniel also earned her Master's in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.
Yaniel is excited to partner with students while empowering them with the skills and encouragement needed to flourish.
