Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan, make it the largest and fastest growing eCommerce company in the region.
Prior to joining Souq.com in 2010, Sam worked in product management at eBay in California, where he led cross functional and Agile development teams. He worked on key initiatives such as eBay's Managed Marketplace, Top Rated Seller program, user-generated content (UGC) and site security, identity theft protection, and payment and transaction management with PayPal.
Sam also co-founded three Internet startups in Silicone Valley. A web Real Estate virtual tours company with a freemium business model, an online Client Relationship Management software specifically targeted at Realtors, and a Middle East based web and multimedia development company serving international clients such as Lionbridge, Starbucks, Paltel, and the World Bank.
With over 14-years of Internet experience in the United States and Middle East, Sam has deep understanding of Internet business dynamics from an international perspective. Sam has three patents in his name on user-generated content security, aggregation and management of online reputation data, and risk management based on online reputation.
Sam has a B.S. Degree in eBusiness from University of Phoenix, Arizona.
