Winthrop Edward Jeanfreau is an entrepreneur, executive, and civic educator with over 30 years of professional experience in various industries, including manufacturing, finance, education, and firearms training. Throughout his career, he has founded 12 companies, exited eight successfully, and generated a cumulative revenue impact of over $680
million. His path has included roles as a business founder and university leader, and he holds certifications in business analysis, financial services, and firearms instruction. He is also a published writer and a strong voice for constitutional education, committed to helping others through knowledge and preparation.
Win Jeanfreau earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business from the University of Utah, followed by his MBA at the University of Oregon. This academic foundation prepared him to lead ventures across a wide range of industries, setting the stage for his entrepreneurial success.
His business career began in the 1990s when he launched Kameleon International, a vending franchise company that expanded into 10 states. With proprietary intellectual property and structured training systems, he developed a model that achieved 100% franchisee longevity, a rare accomplishment in franchising. The company grew into a profitable and scalable enterprise before being sold. At the same time, Win co-owned Shred-it Oregon, part of a global document destruction company. Competing with more than 100 locations nationwide, his branch became the fastest-growing and most profitable. For three years, he led sales efforts, broke records, and built a strong culture before selling the operation for a significant return.
In 1999, he established Aperion Audio, a direct-to-consumer high-fidelity audio company. At a time when online retail was beginning to take shape, he saw the opportunity to connect directly with customers. Jeanfreau oversaw engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, positioning the company as a respected global brand with award-winning products. The business was later sold, marking the close of another successful chapter in his career.
He went on to co-found a financial services company in Portland that merged into one of Oregon’s premier independent wealth management firms. His strategy included hosting financial literacy seminars through community colleges, which offered value to both institutions and individuals seeking financial guidance. The firm’s book of business was later acquired and merged into a larger national advisory group.
From 2013 to 2018, he worked at Utah Valley University in various roles, including Acting Associate Vice President of Academic Outreach and Economic Development. During his leadership, the Business Resource Center generated more than $20 million in capital infusion and supported the creation of 143 jobs within a three-year period.
In recent years, his focus has shifted to firearms training and education on the Constitution. As a certified firearms instructor and Constitution Coach, Win emphasizes safety, accuracy, and situational awareness while also teaching citizens about their rights and responsibilities under the Constitution. His instruction covers handguns, rifles, and shotguns, combining technical skill with civic education.
His life has also been marked by service in faith and the community. He completed a mission in New England for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, volunteered as a Scoutmaster for six years, and served for four years as a Civil Air Patrol Captain. He continues to support charitable causes and serves on the board of the Women’s Leadership Forum.
Alongside his professional career, Jeanfreau holds certifications in business, leadership, and financial programs. He has contributed articles on business strategy, spoken at conferences, and appeared on radio programs. Outside of his work, he enjoys hiking, tennis, scuba diving, motorcycling, piloting, and spending time with family, especially on the water. Win Jeanfreau has built a life defined by entrepreneurship, education, service, and community values, with his achievements grounded in dedication and a sense of purpose.
