William Wei, founder and CEO of PINTEC Group, is a serial entrepreneur and IT industry veteran with almost two decades of experience. He entered the world of startups after working for leading technology companies including Huawei, Nokia and Philips. PINTEC Group is the most recent of William’s startups, founded in 2012. In 2006, he had founded
Innovation Technology Corp (ITC), a telecommunications service provider. Following ITC’s acquisition by Nasdaq-listed VanceInfo, he served as vice president of the mobile technology division. After departing VanceInfo in 2011, he became an active angel investor focused on technology startups.
William received his bachelor’s and master's degrees from the Beijing Institute of Technology, and an EMBA from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
