After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in finance, William began his career as an analyst at J.P. Morgan. He then spent nine years at Lehman Brothers, where he was a senior portfolio manager in the firm’s proprietary equity trading group, specialising in global technology stocks. After joining Threadneedle’s US equity team,
he was responsible for researching the US technology sector. He also served as the company’s global technology sector head from 2008 until 2011. Between 2008 and 2014, William was the co-manager of Threadneedle’s American Extended Alpha and American Absolute Alpha funds. He joined Artemis in 2014 as part of the US equities team.
