William McKeon is the executive vice president, chief strategy officer, and chief operating officer of Texas Medical Center. He is responsible for driving strategic, operational and programmatic initiatives across the Texas Medical Center’s member institutions to enhance its leadership position in the life sciences.
McKeon has served as an
executive for some of the leading companies and institutions in the world, including: Du Pont, Stanford University Medical Center, Raytel, US Oncology, Medtronic, MicroPort (Shanghai) and Cellnovo.
He has served as the chief executive officer for industry-changing companies in Shanghai, China, and London, UK and raised over $67 million in equity financing. McKeon was twice awarded the Computer World – Smithsonian Award in Medicine for innovations in cardiovascular monitoring and the automation of matching cancer patients to clinical trials.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in legal studies from Roger Williams University and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of San Francisco – School of Management.
