Bill is the key designer of MobileForce platform software, its SaaS and client-side architectures, backend database and much of its associated business logic. Previously, he was the chief software architect of Jareva, being instrumental in developing the successful server provisioning platform called OpForce. Upon acquisition by VERITAS, he served
as a widely respected senior architect.
Bill also worked at Hewlett Packard’s compiler lab, developing compiler optimizations for HP’s PA-RISC and Itanium processors. His roles included developing both low-level and high-level compiler optimizations, performance analysis and tuning of large enterprise applications, and development of a Java JVM for Itanium.
He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the field of compiler optimizations for highly parallel supercomputers. His technical interests include programming languages, compiler optimizations, performance tuning, and software engineering. His hobbies include hiking and drawing.
