Since joining YRC Worldwide in 1991, Butch Day has worked to establish, develop and implement security programs and best practices designed to provide a safe and secure environment for employees, customers and properties. Day was named to the position of Chief Security Officer in 2006.
Drawing on his 32 years of experience in law enforcement
and transportation security, Day serves as lead liaison for YRC Worldwide and its operating companies to the law enforcement community, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local requirements and laws that govern the trucking industry.
Day attended the University of Texas at Dallas and Jackson State Community College and holds a degree in political science. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers and is a member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police and the American Society of Industrial Security. Day is a current member and past chairman of the American Trucking Associations Security Council.
