Wayne Chen has more than 25 years of semiconductor industry experience ranging from design, process development, and operations management. Prior to joining Active-Semi, Wayne spent five years at Triune Systems, a fabless semiconductor development company, where he served as VP of Technology, Operations Manager, and co-owner, having shared
responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the company, and development of a variety of integrated circuits. Prior to Triune Systems, Wayne was a Fellow at Texas Instruments where he spent 17 years, responsibilities included design and development of power integrated circuits (ICs) ranging from motion/motor control, power/battery management, communications and audio for the consumer, automotive, and medical market segments. He was elected TI Fellow in 2005 for his contributions in the area of power ICs. Wayne was also a design engineer at both Raytheon’s Radar System Laboratory in Tewksbury, MA, and International Microelectronic Products in Westboro, MA before joining TI in 1991. Wayne Chen received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and his Masters of Business Administration from University of Texas, Austin. Wayne has over 25 patents issued and over 30 pending in the areas of semiconductor devices, ESD structures, circuits and systems.
