Wayne Carlson brings over 25 years of proven leadership through all phases of the product development life cycle in a wide range of companies, both as an employee at Wireless Matrix, MacDonald Detwiler, and Epic Data, and with Personal Designs Inc, a consulting company he founded to provide real time software design services. Some of his clients
included Unisys, de Havilland, Glenayre, Rogers Cable, Epic Data and Norcom Networks.
Carlson’s diverse background includes design and implementation of a multi-mode satellite and terrestrial wireless router, automated vehicle location devices, various satellite communication protocols and devices, POSIX compliant client server transaction based system, an inventory management system, and communication software for an automated weather distribution system.
Carlson has a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He is an avid sailor and has been actively involved in the community as treasurer with the Air Cadet League, 819 Squadron and as vice president of the North Delta Baseball association. He coached minor baseball and soccer for over 13 years. He is currently on the executive of the British Columbia Multihull Society.
