Wayne Buschmann invented the core technologies behind Clean Chemistry. He brings 20 years of experience fulfilling a variety of research and entrepreneurial roles including laboratory research, product and application development, project and personnel management, fund raising, IP development, and consulting. Wayne previously led numerous
technology development programs supported by the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, NASA, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and private contracts. His academic background is in chemistry and materials and also has extensive experience with water treatment technologies, industrial electrochemical processes, equipment and process design and fabrication. Wayne was a Postdoctoral Associate at Los Alamos National Lab, received his Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Utah and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from the University of New Hampshire. He is the primary inventor on numerous patents, authored 18 peer-reviewed journal articles and was awarded numerous Small Business Innovation Research grants. Wayne is a member of several professional societies and serves on the board of directors of a special district water utility.
