Warren B. Kanders is a private investor and industrialist; a supporter of the arts; and a philanthropist focused on health and education. After staring his career in finance, Kanders founded Benson Eyecare Corp., Armor Holdings Inc., and has led 14 different companies during his career. He is the Chairman and CEO of Maui Acquisition Corp., the
parent of Safariland LLC, and Executive Chairman of Clarus Corp. He is both the President and Director of Kanders & Company, Inc., a private investment firm. Kanders received his BA in economics from Brown University, where he is still active on the Advisory Council on the Arts and on the Advisory Council of the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society. Kanders is on the Board of Trustees of the Winston Churchill Foundation and the Hospital for Special Surgery. In addition to Brown University, Kanders took classes at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies. Kanders graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall, where he later served on its board of trustees. Kanders previously served on the Board of Trustees of the Whitney Museum of American Art as a Vice Chairman and a member of its Executive Committee.
