Warren Bell was appointed Chief Operating Officer & Pension Services (COO) at OMERS in September 2014. In this role, he combines all organizational responsibility and efforts related to people, processes and technology, including the functional teams: Pension Services, Legal Services, Technology Solutions, Communications and Public Affairs and
Enterprise Human Resources.
Mr. Bell previously served as OMERS Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer. He played a leading role in implementing the OMERS Global Human Resources Strategy, as well as securing and developing the talent and intellectual capital that makes OMERS one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada and a global leader in the pension and investment industries.Prior to joining OMERS in 2010, Mr. Bell held a variety of senior management positions in human resources and operations over his progressive, 25 plus year career at TD Bank Group. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Corporate Human Resources.
Mr. Bell is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, from which he holds both Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and Bachelor of Administration degrees. Mr. Bell is a Certified Human Resources Professional, a Certified Human Resources Leader, a Certified Human Resources Executive, a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, and is certified by the Institute of Corporate Directors as an ICD.D.
