Wan Murdani Mohamad started a career with Time dotCom in 1995 as a Telecommunication Engineer, Network Engineering Division and later assumed the post of Manager in Transmission Department until 2001. At Time dotCom, he was involved in the network planning, design, business development and project management for Klang Valley
metropolitan area
network, national and international network and PUTRA LRTcommunication network.
He joined Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) in 2001, first attached to
Regulations Department and currently he is the Director of Digital Enablement Division. His primary role is to oversee formulation, recommendation and implementation of MSC Malaysia digital enablement business strategies and programmes, including digitalinfrastructure, broadband initiatives, data centre industry development, mobile content
eco-system and MSC Malaysia Cybercities/Cybercentres. At present, he leads the Entry Point Project to position Malaysia as a Data Centre Hub under NKEA Business Services of
Economic Transformation Program (ETP), primarily to attract strategic foreign direct investments and develop data centre industry as one of digital economy enablers.
He is also currently serving as a Member of Kelantan State ICT Council. Wan Murdani graduated with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla, USA in 1994 and holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
