Walter joined Caixa Capital in 2006 and heads up Enterprise IT investments in the VC team. Prior to joining Caixa Capital, he worked with the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Group (2001-2005) helping to set up a corporate venturing practice focused on internet and technology start-ups. From 1998 to 2001, he worked at Banco Finantia, a boutique investment
bank, exercising roles as Head of Equity Research and a Director of Corporate Finance. Walter began his career with KPMG (1988-1998), where he worked in assurance services, management consulting and corporate finance in both Canada (Toronto) and Portugal (Lisbon).
Walter has an MBA in International Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and an Honors BComm from the University of Toronto (Canada), having specialized in Finance, Economics and Computer Science.
