As a young engineer, Mathews has always been eager about making his entrepreneurial debut. In year 1999, he chanced upon this opportunity when the company he was worked for, decided to wrap up.
Mathew’s plan for his own green field project seeded the Captronics Systems Pvt. Ltd. – a company with domain expertise in offering design, development
of Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Data Acquisition and Control Systems which could serve multiple sectors – R&D, manufacturing, automotives, aerospace and manufacturing.
Mathews’ sharp leadership skills, profound expertise and experience spanning over 22 years has brought consistent and sound revenue to Captronic Systems and enabled it to be “a preferred system integrator for application development” which also provides outsourcing services for development and validation testing of software.
His leadership has guided Captronics Systems to serve aviation majors such as Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., National Aerospace Laboratories, later diversifying its operations to Automotive, R&D, Manufacturing, etc. Today it has developed over 400 different applications in segments such as Automotive, Aerospace, Vision & Motion, and Control & Signal Processing.
Mathews has been honored with the ‘Bharat Udyog – Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in 2010 by the Government of India. He is an active member of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), The Indus Entrepreneurs, Mentor Square and Control Systems Integrators Association.
