Vincent Mc Cormack is the originator behind the patented concepts that enable the GKinetic turbines to accelerate the water flow and maximise power generation in an innovative way. He has over 30 years’ experience in project management, and has managed a total of €5.38 Million in Hydrokinetic R&D funding that has resulted in the development
and multiple deployments of a highly innovative hydrokinetic technology. He has overseen every prototype, demonstration and operational deployment to date where a wealth of data and knowledge has been accumulated. He serves on multiple industry boards mainly focused on supporting the development of Marine Renewable Energy. Some most notable achievements include:
-Winner of the Design Award at the Sustainable Energy Awards hosted by SEAI -Project Managed 7 full scale deployments and testing as well as 3 lab tests of technology -Member of IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) TS 62600-300 AHG (Ad Hoc Group) -Served on the board of the National Standard Authority of Ireland for Marine Energy -6 years served on the Marine and Renewable Energy Ireland (MaREI) board
