Mr. Wang has over 18 years of experience in advisory-based investment banking services, with a focus on providing financial and strategic support to corporate clients ranging from early-stage growth companies in China to Fortune 500 multi-national corporations.
Mr. Wang has been a Partner of GRC Chrysalix. Prior to joining GRC Chrysalix, he was
the Founder and Senior Managing Partner at Sinova Capital Limited, an investment bank that served highly influential clients including ATA Inc., which completed a successful IPO on the NASDAQ in Jan 2008 (recognized as “The Best Small-cap Deal of the Year in Asia” by FinanceAsia), and Zhongfu Group, which sold its controlling stake in Zhongfu Bottles in one of the pioneering and largest cross-board LBO involving an A-share listed company in China.
Prior to heading Sinova Capital Limited, Mr. Wang was the President of Beijing Millennium Investment Management Co., Ltd., an investment banking firm that is a joint venture between Tsinghua University in China and Pacific Millennium Group from the U.S. Previously, Mr. Wang was also the Managing Director of China S&T Investment Advisors Co., Ltd., a China-based investment banking firm focused on the technology industry and co-founded by the State Ministry of Sci. & Tech and Shenzhen Municipal Government. Mr. Wang has also served as the Senior Advisor for a State-level Key Project on “Building up China’s Venture Capital Market System and Growth Enterprise Board”.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wang was the Vice President of Lazard Asia Limited, advising international conglomerates such as Fiat, SBC, Lafarge, Accor, Bonnier on M&A, JV, and other strategic initiatives in China. Prior to this, he was a consultant of the International Group Division of Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. Mr. Wang holds a ABD from the University of Iowa’s School of Business and BS in System and Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa.
