Vicky Ray is the Founder & CEO of RayvenX, a cybersecurity startup based in Singapore. RayvenX builds cutting-edge solutions that empower organizations with tailored, actionable threat intelligence for proactive cyber defense. With nearly two decades of cybersecurity experience, he specializes in cyber threat intelligence, cybercrime
investigations, and nation-state cyber attacks. He is a globally recognized cybersecurity expert, a frequent speaker at leading technical conferences, and an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
Before founding RayvenX, Vicky held senior leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42, where he specialized in tracking and analyzing advanced cybercrime and nation-state threats. He has been a trusted advisor to governments, law enforcement agencies, and executives from some of the world’s largest enterprises, providing strategic guidance on building robust cyber defense capabilities. His work in combating cybercrime earned him global recognition, including a nomination by INTERPOL’s Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) as a cybercrime expert, where he contributed to coordinated international investigations.
Earlier in his career, Vicky led the Cyber Incident Response team at Barclays for the Asia-Pacific region, managing targeted cyber attacks and leading intelligence-sharing initiatives across the financial sector. He also played a critical role in supporting law enforcement with actionable threat intelligence and has extensive experience building and managing national CERTs and Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
He holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from Bangalore University, and several professional cybersecurity certifications.
