Mr. Spalding served as Fronteer Gold’s Nevada Exploration Manager from 2009 to 2011, where he oversaw the Generative Exploration program which produced all of the properties in Pilot Gold’s Nevada portfolio. Mr. Spalding’s gold exploration experience spans more than 20 years. He was Project Manager at Centerra Gold from 1997 to 2009, where he led
the discovery of two million ounces of gold at the REN project on the northern Carlin Trend. He was also Exploration Manager at Centerra’s Kumtor Gold mine in the Kyrgyz Republic, where he managed a $15 million annual budget and supervised a staff of 400 employees. He has also worked for Santa Fe Pacific Gold and Gold Fields Mining on various exploration and development projects in the western United States. Mr. Spalding holds a B.Sc. in geology from the University of Idaho and holds the designation of Certified Professional Geologist (AIPG).
