Umesh Sachdev, Co-founder, and CEO of Uniphore, is a modern-day entrepreneur with patents in Speech Recognition Technologies. Being a young dynamic leader with pedigree from IITM, his undying commitment to new technologies has brought him global recognition for being the only Indian to be chosen among the 10 ‘Next Generation Leaders’ in 2016 by
Time Magazine besides being a winner of India Edition of MIT Tech Review ‘Innovators Under 35’ and a Ted Talk speaker.
Umesh has extensive experience in the technology domain and was previously involved in setting up Singularis Technologies, a mobile theft security product which received global recognition.
Umesh and Ravi Saraogi founded Uniphore Software Systems in 2008 aiming to extend the power of speech to revolutionize human-machine interaction and allow any software application to understand and respond to natural human speech.
In 2009, Umesh was identified as an innovative entrepreneur by the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Technopreneur Promotion Programme (TePP). He has authored various papers and developed several patent applications involving Speech Recognition and Voice Biometrics. He was also part of the organizing team at Proto.in, India’s first and largest showcase event that strengthens the startup ecosystem.
He is an alumnus of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology and Delhi Public School, RK Puram.
