Uli Schmitz holds a diploma and phd in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt. Being responsible for early stage investments and technology management, he is the Managing Director of Axel Springer Digital Ventures and CTO/Head of Technology at Axel Springer SE. Previously Uli worked for Mannesmann and Vodafone in
group-wide R&D and New Business Development. Furthermore he is a lecturer for Intrapreneurship and Innovation Management at ESCP Europe and RWTH Aachen and has been very active organising Hackathons and Tech-Conferences at our accelerator.
