Ty Bobit is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Torrance, California-based Bobit Business Media, which was founded in 1961 by his father, Edward J. Bobit.
The company now has 140 employees that publishes 22 B2B magazines, and produces 14 trade shows and 32 industry web sites. The company’s primary focus is niches within the
transportation and automotive industries.
Ty has been CEO of Bobit Business Media since 2006. He began his career with the company in advertising sales in 1975, when the family company had four titles and was headquartered in Glenview, Illinois.
He advanced to publisher, vice president and then to president in 1987. He had the foresight to conceive Bobit’s first trade show in 1984 and subsequently founded numerous others. Ty currently is a Board Member of SIIA/American Business Media and Society of Independent Show Organizers.
He is actively involved with the World Presidents Organization. Ty is proud to have two of his sons working with him at BBM.
