Tunde Kayode, born in 1964, he graduated with BA (Hons) History & Education from the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1987. In 1990, he bagged an M.Sc. in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from the Management faculty of the same university.
An Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management, he worked with the
Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN). He later, in 1991, joined the firm of OK CONSULT LTD where he built and developed the Human Resources, Training & Marketing unit. In 1993, Mr. Kayode joined the Financial Services firm of City Equitable Trust & Investments Ltd as Head of Credits & Projects. He was appointed as Project Head & Manager of BRENTWOODS Distilleries Ltd – a subsidiary of City Equitable Trust – established by the latter to carry on the business of wine and drinks production, distribution and sales in Nigeria.
In 1997, he joined Upperview Investments Ltd where he managed the company’s business in timber processing and exportation. In 2006, Mr. Kayode joined Elephant Group in the position of Acting General Manager, Business Development.
In the above capacity, he successfully handled the company’s contract negotiations – both private and public sectors; ship cargo discharge and related logistics; documentation and claims management.
Currently, he is General Manager in-charge of Business, sales, and marketing for the South-South and South-East. He is also the project co-coordinator of Elephant Rice Farms as well as the Federal Government Agricultural Growth Enhancement Support Scheme (GESS), a programme aimed at effectively enhancing the agribusiness chain in Nigeria. He is happily married with children.
