Trystan became CEO in 2018. He began his journey at Mako as a risk analyst in 2006, subsequently holding the positions of Head of Risk, Managing Director and COO. Trystan has wide-ranging experience of risk and operations across a number of different business strategies and has an informed understanding of developments and regulation across the
industry. His life experiences outside Mako include spending over four years working in kitchens and bars after earning his degree in Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics, organizing a regional health conference in Boston and teaching children in America how to ski. Trystan has also spent time managing operations for the charity Life of Your Own, which helped individuals with high support needs to live in their own homes instead of group housing. During his time as CEO, Trystan has continued his commitment to charitable activity by overseeing the formation of The Mako Foundation, with the aim of expanding Mako’s charitable impact.
