Torsten is a pioneer of LTE and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) technology. Before founding MECSware, Torsten headed the Technical Product Management of LTE Transport at Nokia Networks and the award-winning Nokia Liquid Applications platform, an MEC product. He has driven the foundation of the MEC industry initiative, which evolved into an ETSI
Industry Specification Group.
Torsten studied Information Technology at the TU Dresden, Germany. He has 23 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications industry as Engineering Manager, Chief Architect, Manager Sales Support and Product Line Manager.
Torsten is co-author of the book „LTE for UMTS”, John Wiley & Sons, and holds more than 10 patents in the field of telecommunications.
