Tom Minney, CEO of African Growth Partners Limited (www.afrigrow.com), a Mauritius-based consultancy specializing in capital, consultancy and communications. It has operations in Ethiopia (Afrigrow Services Pvt. Ltd. Co.) and has been active in Namibia, South Africa and internationally. It has a portfolio of private equity investments.
Tom has
hands-on experience of capital markets institution building and development as he ran the Namibian Stock Exchange for 5.5 years (1994-2000). He has also done investment banking (with Nedcapital Namibia, 2000-2004), management consulting (Ernst & Young Ethiopia, 2005-2006) and private equity and corporate advisory (Access Capital Services, Ethiopia, 2006-2009).
On communications, Tom has some 20 years of journalism and writing experience, including Reuters, BBC Africa, the Namibian, Investors Chronicle, Mail & Guardian, etc. He has also extensive editing and PR experience.
Tom is seeking consultancy assignments, including on strategy, market development, private equity, due diligence and communications, with a specialization in African capital markets, securities exchanges and social impact investing. He is based in London and keen to travel.
