Tom McGrath is one of the leading executives in the entertainment industry with a track record that includes the start of the home video industry in 1980 through the production of the 2013 Tony Award winning musical Pippin. He is currently Senior Managing Director of Crossroads Media, an entertainment investment and acquisition vehicle. Formerly
he was the Executive Chairman of Key Brand Entertainment, a leading company for the production and touring of Broadway shows across the U.S. and Canada under the name Broadway Across America and the parent company of Broadway.com, the leading online independent ticket seller for Broadway as well as BroadwayBox, the leading online discount ticket seller for Broadway. Formerly Executive Chairman of Bug/Windswept Music, and previously served on the board of Cineworld, a publicly traded UK cinema company he helped form/grow with Blackstone in 2006 and took public in 2009. McGrath received Tony Awards for La Cage aux Folles, Memphis, Boeing-Boeing, Hair and Porgy and Bess; the Olivier Award for Spring Awakening. Other shows include Warhorse and Million Dollar Quartet on Broadway. Artists published by Bug include: Bruno Mars, Iggy Pop, Kings of Leon, Wilco, Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters, Kara Dioguardi and Willie Dixon.
Previously Tom was COO of Viacom Entertainment Group, including Paramount Pictures, theme parks, licensing and Famous Music. He has been involved in the production of Titanic, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan and Forrest Gump among others at Paramount and The Princess Bride and Fried Green Tomatoes previously.
McGrath is a Trustee of the New England conservatory of Music, the American Repertory Theater at Harvard and a member of the Advisory Council on the Arts at Harvard. He is a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
