Tom Haley has over 19 years of experience in CRM and Loyalty Marketing which leverages insights drawn from customer purchase behavior to identify opportunities for customer acquisition, retention, cross-sell and up-sell.
Tom is currently serving as a Senior Vice President for Cloud Union, a subsidiary of the China-based YunLianHui company. Cloud
Union is bringing proven financial technology, a successful rewards program and lucrative investment opportunities to the U.S.
Before Cloud Union, Tom was the CMO at Billaway, a fast-growing start-up that ran rewards programs for Gulf Oil and Sinclair Oil in the U.S., and for Blackberry Messenger in South Africa, Canada, Nigeria, Malaysia, Singapore and the U.K.
Prior to Billaway, Tom worked at American Express, where he built, launched and operationalized a coalition loyalty program serving some of the largest advertisers in the U.S. and used by millions of consumers every day.
Before AmEx, he handled all marketing and PR efforts for Linkable Networks, the only card-linked offer platform to support SKU-level, category-level and store-level offers. Linkable Networks won a coveted Red Herring "Top 100 Start Ups" award in 2013.
Tom has also run Staples Rewards, a CRM program with an active membership of 21 million U.S.-based customers who spend $10.4 billion annually on office products and technology in Staples retail stores and Staples.com.
Prior to joining Staples, Tom managed the loyalty marketing program at Stop & Shop/Giant Foods where he was responsible for targeted channels such as direct mail, POS-based offers, and e-mail. His expertise in optimizing intelligent targeting, offer relevance and customer segmentation greatly increased the program’s ROI.
In 1998, he spearheaded the launch of one of the original loyalty marketing programs while working at Supervalu. Tom earned his undergraduate degree at University of Massachusetts/Amherst and attended MBA courses at Husson College.
