When Tom Chew joined Slalom in 2003, he took on the challenge of creating Slalom's technology consulting division and providing innovative technology capabilities to our clients. Today, Tom is focused on building our cross-market teams, which include digital, industry, delivery centers, strategic alliances, and our marketing studio. His
contributions have enabled the firm to become a more strategic company and a thought leader in the consulting world.
Tom’s knack for problem solving has made him instrumental to Slalom’s growth since our early days. He is a champion for motivating people, forming creative ideas, and helping build the teams that breathe life in to Slalom’s biggest ideas. As a result, the company has won numerous awards in recent years, such as Microsoft United States Partner of the Year, TechFlash Newsmaker Mobile App of the Year, and been named a CRN VAR500 Top Mobility Practice. His ability to foster entrepreneurism and innovation within the company also laid the groundwork for the launch of a Slalom-backed software company called mLevel.
Colleagues describe Tom as a trailblazer with a unique talent for pioneering new ways to do things that enable Slalom to stay ahead of the competition.
Prior to joining Slalom, Tom held senior technology roles at Terabeam, Ernst & Young, and Accenture, and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corp. Tom gives back through his membership on the board of the Boys and Girls clubs of King County Washington and the portfolio advisory board at Ignition Partners. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Tiffany, and his children, Gracie and Walker, hiking, snowboarding, and spending time at their mountain retreat near Stevens Pass.
Tom earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami in 1992.
