Todd earned a degree in marketing from The Robert Smith School of Business at University of Maryland in 1989. While in school, he earned a commercial pilot’s license with the hopes of working in the aviation industry. He started selling used corporate aircraft in 1989. In 1995, he began to apply his deal making skills to other industries when he
started buying under performing small companies. In short order, it became clear that it was more lucrative to purchase small poorly managed companies to rehabilitate and resell. Over the next 13 years, he purchased and resold 10 small businesses.
In 2007, he took advantage of an opportunity from a VC to start a commercial services company. White Glove Restaurant Services was built from nothing and he was bought out just three years later. His next project was taking receivership of an insolvent building materials manufacturer. He cashed out of that company in just over two years.
Mr. Stave is an accomplished start-up and turn-around entrepreneur. His aviation background provides for an understanding of the regulatory environment and the technology. Combined with his outstanding ability to recognize opportunities, build a management team, and devise business processes he is uniquely qualified to build Blue Vigil in to a well known company in the exploding drone industry.
