Toby Heap is a Founding Partner of H2 Ventures. He has over 12 years of experience founding, leading and investing in high growth startup companies. Toby was formerly theManaging Director of AWI Ventures, the fintech VC arm of Australasian Wealth Investments Limited where he launched Australia's first fintech accelerator.
Toby holds a
degree in Applied Science, a Masters in Commerce (Finance) and a PhD onThermophysiology and Artificial Neural Networks from the University of Sydney, where he was also a Research Fellow. Toby is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Toby is a Non-Executive Director on the boards of, the not-for-profit fintech hub Stone & Chalk, and the equity crowd funding platform Equitise. He is also a Non-Executive Director of The Cancer Council NSW and sits on its Audit & Risk and Investment Committees. Toby is a member of the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) Digital Finance Advisory Committee.
