Before
joining Special Olympics in 1995, he was (and remains) a leading educator focusing on the social and emotional factors in learning.He co-founded and currently chairs the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL), the leading research organisation in the field of social and emotional learning. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.He chairs the board of Lovin’ Scoopful a cause-related consumer products brand specializing in ice cream that ‘loves you as much as you love it’.
