Tim joined the Business Growth Fund in September 2011 as an investment director to identify, execute and manage investments for the Fund. In January 2012 he led the BGF’s £10 million equity investment in IT Services and Communications provider GCI Com where he serves as a non-Executive Director.
Prior to joining the Business Growth Fund he
gained ten years investment experience with leading UK mid-market private equity firms, Gresham Private Equity and Sovereign Capital. During this time Tim invested in a variety of UK SME businesses across the retail, leisure, industrial products, education and support services sectors in a range of transaction types including development and growth capital deals and management buy-outs.
Tim began his career with Coopers & Lybrand where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has a BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Birmingham. He is married with two children.
