Tim Rueth is a private investor and technology/business consultant/advisor to high-tech start-ups and entrepreneurs. His technical foundation began with design, development and management experience in the areas of custom integrated circuits and wireless systems. His recent experience includes high-technology commercialization and
business development, fund-raising, due diligence, and small company investment. He has served on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels, as well as the organization’s Screening Committee for several years. His most recent C-level operating role was President and CEO of Rhevision Technology, Inc., which he co-founded with a UCSD professor. Currently he invests in private local high-tech companies, is an advisor to several companies, and is under contract with UCSD (for over ten years) as a Technology and Business Advisor at the von Liebig Entrepreneurism Center, generating business strategies and industry interest in numerous University technologies as well as assisting in the formation of several UCSD start-up companies. He also is an advisor/consultant for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF), one of the nation’s leading university technology transfer organizations. Previously, Mr. Rueth was employed at Qualcomm as part of the team that generated the world’s first integrated CDMA chipset, and prior to this, he was employed at Hewlett Packard, designing computer-related integrated circuits.
