Tim Lukenda has been leading Extendicare as its President and Chief Executive Officer since joining the organization in April 2008, having overall responsibility for the company’s 277 senior care centres and related healthcare subsidiaries with over 38,700 employees throughout Canada and the U.S.
For 11 years before joining Extendicare, Tim was
the President and Chief Operating Officer of Tendercare, a family-owned business operating 35 skilled-nursing facilities in the State of Michigan.Before joining Tendercare, Tim was Vice President, Investment Banking with RBC Dominion Securities in Toronto and Calgary, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and both a Law degree and MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
Tim has been married to his wife Mary-Lynne for 25 years, with whom he has three awesome children— daughter Macauley and sons, Carter and Cooper.
