Prior to creating Commerce Signals, Tom was Head of Channels for Citigroup’s Global Consumer Group. Tom's primary focus was driving Citi's international growth through remote channels (Direct Banking, mobile, phone). Tom’s global team of 8,000 were focused on: expanding Citi’s presence through a consistent technical and business footprint in 47 countries, creating direct banks in 8 countries (to compete with ING), acquiring customers online, and managing Global Consumer digital/mobile marketing and innovation efforts world wide.
Tom is well connected to Silicon Valley startups and venture firms due to his roles at Oracle and EVP of Sales at 41st Parameter. During his 5 years at Oracle, Tom’s team developed Oracle’s first Java application in 1998: iBill and Pay, and the integration suite currently known as Oracle Fusion. Tom’s experience with retail began at 41st Parameter, where he led sales and marketing, growing the company from $250k/yr to $13M in just 18 months, by establishing footprints in all major US Banks, something he is is also working on within Commerce Signals.
